Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Saab 9-5 Aero sedan. I would rate the exterior of this 9-5 Aero to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in silver over black leather sport interior, which looks good against the black body trim. The silver finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find much to complain about as you walk around the exterior of this Saab. The bumper covers have a few rub marks and there are a few door dings here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary for a vehicle of this age and mileage. All of the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The hood strut is weak and should be replaced. All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels have some curb scratches on them, but are presentable. The tires are not a matching set and are on the thin side of average all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this 9-5 Aero to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are thick and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats are included. The only thing I found broken in the interior is the plastic piece on the outside of the driver's seat cushion, which is common. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The deeply bolstered leather sport seats are clean, supple, comfortable and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic. I suspect that the heater fan may be on its way out. It works, but not as strongly as I am used to. It is too cold outside to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater works well. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Saab appears to be in good running and driving condition. The high output 2.3L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbocharger spools up quickly and delivers smooth power by the truck load. I replaced the catalytic converter with a full brand new direct fit unit, so no worries about that major expense. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. I am personally a huge Saab enthusiast. In fact, my personal daily driver is a 2007 9-3 Aero. These cars are very subtle and understated, which is what makes them great. Their power is greatly under rated from the factory. Driving down the highway, the don't look like much. However, this car would embarrass most "performance cars". Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. If I'm being picky, the tires are a bit noisy for my taste.
