Vehicle Detail

I’m selling my 2002 Honda RC51. I purchased this bike in May 2016, with 14,144 mi on it. It has been garaged since then, barely ridden. Current mileage is low for its age, 14,561. The bike appears to have had a couple of owners, one with a nice style of accessorizing and one…not so much. I bought it from a large dealer who had it on consignment. Right when I got it, I put new Dunlop Q3s, new SBS high performance brake pads, new fork seals, and a new front sprocket on it (had weirdly low gearing). I also removed some strange, chrome, perforated metal bits which had been riveted to the fairing and frame. The bike had an oil and filter change (HP4) a couple of hundred miles ago. Mechanically, it is excellent. The bike rides GREAT! It runs strong and has crisp fueling. Handling is dead neutral with those fresh Q3s. The clutch is smooth and strong. The brakes are great! (They feel better, no kidding, than the Brembo M50s on my Super Duke R.) Sounds amazing with that pipe and gear-driven cams. Accessories include an Ohlins shock, Erion single-sided, high mount pipe, Power Commander IIIr, Moriwaki rear suspension link and carbon radiator louvers, lithium battery, Pit Bull Delrin spools, and again the tires and brake pads are fresh. The only mechanical problem I’m aware of is that the speedometer is working intermittently right now. The dealer was not able to reproduce the problem (intermittent), so I just had them replace the speedo sensor, hoping that would work. Unfortunately the the repair was not successful, so the speedo intermittently reads 0 mph while you’re riding. Again, mechanically, speedo issue aside, this bike rides GREAT! Consumables are fresh and this thing is ready to roll. Cosmetically it is nice but has a few scratches, and a small dent in the fuel tank. There are a few small holes in the fairing where rivets securing odd metallic bling were removed. In terms of things like tipovers, the controls and footpegs are in essentially perfect condition. I am including photos of pretty much all of the little “issues” in the interest of full disclosure. I originally intended to keep this bike forever and gradually return things to gorgeous and original, but plans have changed. It’s really nice but not perfect, cosmetically. This is an easy sale, clean title (in my name) in hand. This bike is ready to go ride hard for the season. Let me know if you have any questions. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping from Boise, Idaho. On Mar-19-18 at 15:37:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Addition Monday afternoon 3/19 around 4:30pm. A potential bidder asked for a walkaround video featuring some lumpy 90 degree gear-driven cam v-twin noise. Added for your pleasure: https://youtu.be/-kNv2m_gcIg
