My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very, very rare 1998 Volvo S70 T5 with a five speed manual transmission. Finding an older S70 that hasn't been all used up is hard enough. Finding a nice T5 with low miles is very unusual. Finding a nice T5 with low miles and a factory five speed manual is next to impossible. I've been doing this for a while and I see hundreds, if not thousands of cars per week, and I've never come across one of these until this one. I would rate the exterior of this S70 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Emerald Green over Tan leather interior, which is a classic color combination. The dark green finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Volvo. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory five star alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this very rare Volvo came in. I would also rate the interior of this S70 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are thick and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear for their age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. It is too cold outside to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater works well. Rear passenger room is ample and the trunk is downright spacious. These are good, good cars. There is a reason it's hard to find low mileage examples. Most people who own these cars drive and drive them. Mechanically, this S70 T5 spears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 2.3L high pressure engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels nice and tight. Steering and braking feel good, too. I had both power steering lines replaced because the original ones were beginning to leak...so no worries there for a long, long time. The engine keeps proper temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and makes plenty of smooth power. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the five speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. With just regular maintenance, this car can EASILY go another 100k miles. This car is definitely a unicorn. If you've been looking for a T5 with a factory manual transmission, you know what you're looking at. If paying by Bank Check or Bank Wire Transfer, funds must clear before your vehicle is available for release. We Do Not Accept PayPal or Credit Cards...at all...period. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without prior written permission may be assessed a storage fee of $10/ day. Storage fees will be deducted first from any monies paid to Liberty Auto Exchange. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction. Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay, blocked from bidding on future auctions and may be referred to our Collection Agency for credit reporting and fee recovery. Fees and Taxes The only fee we charge is the $149 Administrative Fee that is also disclosed in the first sentence of the written description. Because we sell with NO RESERVE, we have no way to control how much (if any) money we make per vehicle. This fee helps us isolate a few of our fixed, per transaction expenses in a way that is fair to everyone. The winning bidder is responsible for paying all required fees to their respective state of origin. We are a PennDOT issuing agent and are happy to provide low cost title / tag services to Pennsylvania Residents. *For Out-Of-State Residents, we offer a PennDOT 30 day In-Transit Tag to legally drive your vehicle to your home state.
