My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Audi A3 Premium with the desirable 6 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this Audi to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking hatchback. The finish has a nice shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Audi. All of the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and rear hatch all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Audi came in. I would also rate the interior of this A3 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The panoramic sunroof really opens up the interior and is a great feature. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are heated. The leather sport seats are clean and comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for both the driver and passenger. It is too cold outside to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater works very well. Rear passenger room is surprising for a small car and there is ample cargo room behind the rear seats. When not in use, the rear seats easily fold flat to open up a generous amount of cargo capacity. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this A3 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 2.0L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. This is a very entertaining little car to drive, thanks in part to the six speed manual transmission. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and makes smooth power. I just had the high pressure fuel pump replaced with a brand new one, so you won't have to worry about that for a long time (it's a common issue with these). The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the six speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking at buying a VW or Audi, do yourself a favor and buy one with a manual transmission. The DSG automatic transmissions are a money pit and will be nothing but a headache. If you follow my auctions, you'll notice that I avoid the DSG transmissions and I suggest you do the same. If you're looking for a fun little car that gets great fuel economy without sacrificing self esteem, an Audi A3 should be on your list.
