Vehicle Detail
1970 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 - 351 Windsor engine - automatic transmission - Candy Apple Red paint color - Mach 1 interior in Black - Original style rim blow steering wheel - Louvers added on back glass (they do raise for cleaning window). Spoiler on front and rear - Prop rod added to trunk - Original style Magnum 500 wheels - E70 14 Goodyear polyglas tires (like new) - Spare tire in trunk with cover - Clear title - Most everything restored back as original except a couple things. Did put in customized am/fm/cassette stereo and it does have air shocks. Older restoration but has been garage kept and in very good condition. Not even driven in the rain or bad weather. The car is not concourse and does have a flaw or two here or there but it is show quality and I have got 32 trophies showing it, I even have a best of show. I have owned the car the biggest part of its life and mine. My parents bought the car for my 16th birthday. It needed some tlc but wasn't a bad daily driver for a 16 year old girl. I met my husband when I was driving this car. Not long after this we decided to get married. We used the car for awhile as a daily driver, but the family started to grow and we needed something bigger. We sold the car to a friend of my dads in 1990. He started a ground up restoration. He had the car 7 years restoring it. He had everything done and ready for paint when I heard that he was thinking of selling it. I told my husband to call him to see. He told my husband that his neighbor was going to the bank on Monday and try to get the money (this was a Saturday). My husband told him we were interested and my dads friend said for us to come on down and look at it and we would work something out because he would rather see us have it back since we had a history with it. We went to look at it and my husband bought it back for me for my birthday. The next Tuesday was my 35th birthday. Yes I have had the car bought for 2 birthdays. We got the car back and had it painted and finished the restoration he had started. Through the years it has been a fun project and toy. I was not intended to be a show car, but it was so nice it ended up that way and we have received 32 trophies showing the car through the years. We are older now, we are grandparents and other things take up our time instead of the car, so we would like for someone that has the time for the car, to get it and love it like we have. It is still a beautiful car and it just needs someone to polish up and get it out for the world to see.
