Up for auction is my 2004 Ford Explorer XLS. I have had the vehicle for 3 years and love it. Due to a new job, I had to get something a little better on gas mileage for my commute. This vehicle is in decent shape, but will require some differential work in the future. Otherwise, it has light wear and tear for its age. The Bad First: Typical Ford Rear differential noise. It is drivable, but noisy at highway speeds. I changed the differential oil in the fall, and put in a heavier oil and the friction additive to prolong the life of the differential. The differential will eventually need to be swapped out. The rear seat latch is broken, the seat still moves, but you have to use cables instead of the latch. The glass hatch is starting to wear out and needs to be realigned or replaced. Now the good news: As stated, the vehicle (differential aside) is in good condition for its age. It has new tires with less that 2000 miles on them The bearings and brakes have all been done in the past 18 months. It has been garaged and is totally rust free. It has a factory hitch, an aftermarket radio with Bluetooth and an aux jack hookup. I've done my best to describe the vehicle, photos are part of description.
