1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III. 68,800 original miles. 460 V8, C6 Automatic. Exterior is Lincoln's medium green metallic with white twill vinyl roof. Interior is the light gray gold leather interior, with the optional low back front seats. The car runs, drives, and stops great, like floating on a cloud. Engine has been tuned up, front end parts were replaced and aligned. The tires, brakes, and starter are new. The car still has the original dual exhaust intact. The vacuum actuated headlight doors work properly. The power windows, power seats, power door locks, interior lights, roof console indicator lights, rear package tray brake and taillight fiber optics, AM radio, power antenna, and auto release e-brake all operate properly. I haven't got the wiper motor working yet. These cars came from the factory with rear anti-lock brakes, one of the first cars to ever have this safety option. The system on this car is complete, however it has been disabled because it's obsolete. The car stops perfectly fine without the system. The interior needs a new carpet set, ($205 from ebay seller 'stock interiors'). The tilt wheel adjustment has a little play in it, however from what I understand bearing wear is common. Late 80's Ford Van's use the same bearing. This car was owned by my grandfather until I bought it. The exterior has door dings and a few scratches, fairly typical on a car owned by an 85 year old. The green color is nice. All the trim is nice and intact, the bumpers are straight and the chrome shines great. The twill vinyl roof is original and in very nice condition. There is a little bit of rust at the very bottom of the drivers side rear quarter panel, and on top around the rear vent area. All the exterior lights are in great shape and work properly.
