In the early 90s, Cosworth also helped Triumph in the quest to build a faster version of the Daytona 900 – just 805 examples of the “Super III” were sold.Cosworth’s primary contribution was a new method of pressure sandcasting for the engine cases. Thanks to hotter cams and higher compression, the motor produced about 115 horsepower. Combined with Alcon 6 piston front brakes and a sprinkling of carbon fiber, this was a special Triumph.This example (VIN: SMT372DD0TJ035851) has 30,753 miles and is claimed to be in good shape. There’s a few aftermarket parts, including a Sebring 4 into 1 full exhaust and K&N pod filters. The original airbox is included but the original exhaust is not. The bike was recently serviced and got new hoses, rebuilt carbs, a valve adjustment, and new Michelin Pilot 3 tires. Flaws include a broken rear turn signal stalk and the seller thinks one of the side panels may have been repainted.
