1942 or 1952 Simplex Servi Cycle. I bought this bike in a package deal with several other vehicles. First off, I'm a woman, so my knowledge of motorcycles is non existent! Second, I only had the story I was given when I purchased the collection of vehicles, which in his defense, he may have said 50's. I though it was 40's. Third, this is my first foray into the vintage bike and car market... so far it's been a real blast! Fourth, this is my first ebay attempt. So bare with me boys! I'm told by several watchers on this auction that the options available on this bike, make it a 50's bike. So wether its a 40's or 50's bike is something I'm not certain on, but the experts say 50's. This bike was a parts and mail delivery bike on an airbase in Germany. It was brought back by an airman. The bike is basically complete minus the engine. The wheels are straight and true, the inside of the gas tank is pretty decent, springer and frame are in really good condition which is rare for these old bikes. Has original ignition (minus key) and rear carrier rack. There's a small dent in the gas tank (pictured) and highway bars. It's all stuff that's fun and easy to fix. I've had dozens of these over the last 30 years and this is the nicest unrestored roller I've seen. That was a quote from the man I got it from.
