Thank you for looking at our super clean 1998 Mercury Sable LS. This car was bought new by my Mom and she drove it for 19 years. The car is presently in storage. We decided to sell it because we realized that we have so many cars and don't really have room to keep this car even though we really want to. My Mom bought this car new in 1998, drove it all year except during the winter because she went to Florida with my Dad in his truck. So this car was never driven in the winter and they lived in Pennsylvania so they used cinder, no salt, on the roads. That's the reason the car stayed so clean, as you can see in all the pictures. The rear seat was maybe used once a year, and the front seats have very little wear. The body of the car really is in excellent condition with a tiny little crease that's on the driver's rear passenger door, which may or may not be able to be seen in the pictures. The underneath of the vehicle is in great shape and so is the trunk. The engine compartment still looks nearly new. Mechanically, it starts, runs and drives 100%, but it will need a battery because its been sitting for the last year and a half. If you charge up the present battery overnight, it'll start for you everyday. But if you let it sit for a week, it won't start because the battery is shot. We were going to put a battery in, but after we took pictures of the old battery in it, we didn't want to change anything from what you're presently seeing in the pictures. Even though $2490 may seem like a lot of money compared to what other people are asking and selling them for, it's still way under NADA retail, and if you buy this car you're getting a car that's been inspected in PA every year. Every year, my father fixed everything that was bad or weak on the car, and I have a folder of all the receipts since the car was brand new. There's nothing you need to do to this car to drive it everyday except replace the battery and maintain it, just like its been maintained correctly for the last 20 years. So if you're considering buying the car, please keep in mind that you're getting a nearly rust free car that should last you the next four to five years without major repairs.
