The body metal is super straight, Not bondo filled. No patch repair work in body, frame or floor pans. The Paint is very nice and nicer than most for sure - SEE PHOTO'S & VIDEO. This is a California Jeep, adult owned, pampered, maintained and garage kept. Every thing on this Jeep from the front bumper to the rear bumper has been rebuilt, repaired, replaced, re-adjusted, re-wired as needed and refined. As a 40 plus year Jeep CJ owner of many CJ and Jeep builder, restoration and repair person, I would rate this Jeep overall in Very Good to Excellent Conduction as it sits today. This Jeep runs outstanding. The factory rebuilt V8 304 Jeep motor was upgraded with Howell TBI Fuel Injection. ( This Fuel injection upgrade is also EPA - Smog Approved for this Vehicle "even" in the State of California) The added cost of this Fuel injection upgrade is a must have = More power, more performance, better gas mileage and added reliability. TBI injection will also self adjust at any altitude. Most States don't require 41 year old classic vehicles to be smog check - only a hand full do. So if you have to have it - You're good to go with this CJ. The Jeep is also fitted with new 'cat converters' on the dual exhaust. The motor is backed with a 4 Speed manual transmission, Jeep Dana 4 by 4 transfer case, Jeep AMC 20 rear end up-graded with a rear locker = "Posi Track". The Front end is Jeep Dana 30 with Locking hubs. All brakes in great working order - SEE Driving VIDEO. The factory E-Brake works. This information update may help many lookers and first time Jeep CJ buyers. #1. The value in any classic is RUST FREE - all metal uncut. #2. Clear title history - not salvaged cost more = Clean original vin tags and vin numbers on CJ a must. # 3 So starting out with a nice CJ "even as project" with all the above will cost you more to buy and should. #4 Factory Boxed frame CJ 1975 and newer like this one cost more - boxed frame stronger - less flex in frame = limit frame damage and frame cracking. # 5 Factory power steering and factory Disc brake easy to drive CJ cost more. #6. A factory V8 motor CJ cost more than a 6 cyl motor = The V8 motor was only used very limited years in the CJ because of the gas wars of the 70. #7 A un cut body, still very original body with nice original floor pans cost more = show's that CJ has never been rusted or rust repair made to it. #8 If the running gear - motor, transmission, 4 by 4 transfer case, rear end , front end all rebuilt and in good working order it should cost more. It cost 120 to 140 per hour to have a Jeep worked on you will spend 4 to 8,000 just making them leak free and reliable if you take them to a retail CJ shop for repairs. #9 In my past 40 years i have fixed more electrical issues in CJ than i can count. People get under the dash and start cutting and splicing into wire will cause short issues = electrical Issues very time consuming to track down and fix. #9 So if you don't want a big shop repair bill after buying a CJ make sure you check all the electrical over - every thing! # 10 Next issue i run into also is the suspension set up - you can buy a lift on line for 400 or 1,400 then buyers bolt them on and drive away - that never work's! If you lift a Jeep over 3 inch you will need to make a few adjustments = New drive line with double cartage u joints best =500.00 or re set the rear end angles to bring them back in line with the transfer case yoke! On Feb-20-18 at 12:15:29 PST, seller added the following information: If you fail to set them up correct after lifting them you will get a big vibration and even death wobble. You must re set front end caster angle - you must re set rear end yoke angle - you must drop or lower skid plat to help correct angle and so on. Bolt on lifts need all the above done to re correct the angles after install. Most guy just don't under stand this and bolt on lifts and drive away. Good luck with that it will never drive good - fair but not good! Tie rod angles change when you lift a Jeep you must correct for that. I do all the above and more to my CJ .
