Vehicle Detail
For sale is a very unique and beautiful 1972 Mercedes 280se with the 4.5 liter V8 engine. This car is a true time capsule, I am the third owner and have been able to trace its complete linage back to the original owner. This gem has 145,000 miles on her and has been meticulously maintained since brand new, even after 45 years this automobile is still by far the most comfortable and pleasurable thing I have ever driven. I regularly pick up clients from the airport in this car and each time they are awestruck at just how nice and modern it feels. The car is also in fantastic mechanical condition, with just a touch of the key that monster of an engine roars to life and the transmission shifts perfectly, everything operates as well as the day it rolled out of the factory even the original A/C blows ice cold, with the only exception being the radio seems to have a loose connection as it comes on and off over bumps. Recent maintenance includes all new rotors, pads, master cylinder, battery, white wall tires, and differential rebuild. I only run premium non ethanol gasoline and use Lucas Oil Stabilizer at every oil change. I have owned this car for almost three years now and it has never let me down, it is very comfortable on the highway and produces no vibrations or odd noises, the steering feel is also incredibly tight. The paint is showing some age as it has a handful of rock chips and a spot about the size of a silver dollar on the drivers side rear door where the paint has peeled away causing some slight corrosion, this is the only rust found anywhere on this car. I always park her in a climate controlled garage and she is never driven in inclement weather. The interior on the other hand is beautiful, all seats are supple and show no wear or tears, the dash has one crack directly to the right of the bezel but it has been repaired, there is no sun fading, damaged plastics or cracked parts. I cannot express in words just how nice this car is to drive, whoever buys this car will not be disappointed. Please feel free to call me anytime I would love to tell you even more about this exquisite automobile 208-695-8743.
