With all of the above items being new, I know what I have into it just in parts. I have over 20K and hundreds of hours invested. I bought this FJ a few years ago from a guy who was in the beginning stages of building a mug drag with it. He basically made a few changes to the engine (roller rockers, solid lifters, and cam), added heavy duty bumpers, and boxed out the rear of the frame. His welds don't look pretty but seem pretty solid. See picture above. He was in the process of doing a spring over axle switch and never finished. I already had a set of stock axles, springs, and steering assembly. I planned on running it as an on and off-road family toy so no need to finish the SOA conversion. I've been a Land Cruiser enthusiast since high school when I bought my first FJ40 and currently own 3. I've been working on these for years as a hobby. These things are tough, reliable, safe, rare, and turn heads! I spent a lot time and money on the mechanical, safety, and reliability aspects of this since I planned on using it basically for family fun (DRIVER). I did not spend a whole lot of time on the body, it looked pretty good the way it was, however, seemed like there was a lot of body filler on the tub and fenders so I removed all the paint and filler, replaced some rust (not bad) with fresh steel, added some filler to smooth (see pictures), hit it with a lacquer primer, and Rustoleum Charcoal Grey. You can clearly see the purposely left defects in the body which really makes the rig look mean! I live in Maine which DOES NOT issue titles for vehicles with a model year of 1994 or older. I do have a letter from the state which verifies the VIN and they told me that is the same as a title for states that require a title. Do your own research before you bid! Vehicle will be sold AS IS with a bill of sale and a letter of verification of VIN from the state of Maine. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pick up of this item in a timely manner! There is a $500 deposit required immediately at bids closing and the remaining balance is to be paid with cash or bankcheck (cashiers check). Please ask all questions before bidding!!! I will email you back as quickly as possible.
