Originally this vehicle was purchased in Arizona in1984. I was lead to believe it had spent it entire life in Arizona as it had absolutely no rust, anywhere. I had the engine rebuilt, trans gone thru, installed new wheels and tires, battery, alt. and starter. I was going to use it to launch my boat in and out of the water and was to stay in the garage in Arizona. My late brother-in-law convinced me to sell this Blazer to him. He drove it approx. 7-8,000 miles and decided he was going to "restore" it using a chemical stripper and rattle canned the primer which left it "tiger stripped" which is what you see with the surface rust. He passed away in 2006 and I repurchased it in this condition from my sister-in-law. From the time I purchased it in '84 till now with the exception of a little over 1 year that he drove it, it has been in a garage. When I went to pick it up I poured gas in carburetor, started it and drove it onto my trailer. Motor is NOT locked up and turns freely. I had the hood and cowl chemically striped as they had been left outside and were rusty, they cleaned up nicely and have been professionaly sanded and primed. You will not find a cleaner/rust free Blazer than this. It is great project for some one. I also have all the important parts from factory A/C, a fresh 383 long block with roller cam, GM Serpentine Belt Set-Up that are available at separate pricing. Please inquire if you are interested.
