We got this truck from USAA after the previous owner got the truck stuck on the beach. The insured was worried about sand & salt particles damaging the undercarriage so he took it to a body shop for a repair quote. The body shop wanted to take the frame off blow everything out and then strip down and repaint the frame. USAA decided against that and so the truck was totaled rather than pay for a frame repaint. We got this truck into our shop and after doing a complete undercarriage steam clean on it, we're pleased to find only minor rust spots through out the undercarriage. We have taken some undercarriage photos and included them below for your review. We feel like if this truck had been from the Northern Half of the US this issue would never have been addressed as a Total Loss.
