Vehicle Detail
This fantastic car was perfect...until it was involved in an accident. Now the passenger door is smashed in. The rest of the body -- the hood, the trunk, the front end, both front fenders, the entire left-side...all that is fine. Just the passenger door and the right-side of the body behind the passenger door...are damaged. Even the passenger-side front fender is untouched. It's too damn bad, because the car still drives beautifully and tracks straight and brakes and goes great and looks perfect from 3 out of 4 viewing angles! Engine, transmission, everything is fine but for the collision damage. So you can pick this car up -- the book value is around $15,000 -- for dimes on the dollar. Leave it the way it is and drive it solo as a high-class, comfortable beater, fix it up crudely ($1500), adequately ($3000), or perfectly ($6000) -- or you can even part the car out if you choose -- you'll make a fortune on Ebay if you want to make the effort. I have no convenient place to store the car this winter and so it must go now. Super comfy ride, bulletproof quality, Becker Stereo. Includes brand new European Battery and Bolt-On Factory Hardtop Roof for winter (this hardtop is in excellent condition). The spare wheel and tire are standard size and perfect -- never used! The car was well-maintained and comes with a complete set of service records; see attached photo showing the last page of the six-page, $13,000 (!) service performed by Executive Automotive in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2011, and the car has not been driven very much since then (just 10K more). Feel free to inspect ALL the service records here if you wish. There is a lot of value here for the smart buyer. The car has a new, valid New Mexico Salvage Title (see photo). You can still drive, insure, register, repair, and license this car with a salvage title. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that you'll pay lower fees because of lower book values, and a salvage title shows that the car has been in an accident (duhhhhhh, we all know that). If you fix the car up and get it inspected by the DMV, you can have the "Salvage Title" replaced by a "Rebuilt Title." I don't see much benefit to doing that, but regardless, you can do whatever you want with the car as long as you have a valid title, and this car has one. Of course, if you're going to part this car out, the title status won't matter to you. If you are in the area, feel free to test drive the car, have it checked out by a mechanic or body shop, ask any questions you may have, whatever you like, I'm happy to help.
