For auction with no reserve is my 1969 BMW R 60 US. I am a lifelong BMW boxer fanatic and purchased this machine from an acquaintance of mine with the intent to perform a restoration. Of course, time is never free and I have found myself working seven days per week for weeks on end. I am a fanatical car and bike guy and I need to make room in my garage, so I would prefer that someone else enjoy this machine and either ride it as is and enjoy it or restore it. I am not a BMW boxer historian but according to the BMWDEAN website this model is one of the rarest /2 models imported to the USA. The /2 of course came standard with Earles forks but in 1968 and 1969 one could order telescopic forks. Reportedly there were on 443 of the 1969 R 60 US models imported. This machine is serial number 432/440. Since you are reading this you likely are well versed on this model. This particular machine appears to be all original and to me, a prime candidate for a restoration. It is a one to two cold kick bike and doesn’t burn oil or smoke. It is a numbers matching machine as well. I have set the first bid way below market value on this no reserve auction.
