relisting because someone hit the "buy it now" button by accident! If your looking at this car then you probably have an idea of what your looking at and understand the condition that these cars can be in pushing 50 years of age. I bought this car 7 years ago in Boston from a father and son team that had a good time building and putting it together. Together they told me they put new floor pans in and sorted out a lot of the mechanical stuff. They had out grown use for the project and sold it to me in mechanically good shape but the body still needed some work. I then drove it to my place in Brooklyn where I kept if for 2 years driving it on weekends and doing work to it occasionally. After almost wrecking it in Brooklyn from driving waaay too fast i had a moment of clarity about this car...although it is absolutely the badest looking and sounding thing on the road a lot of the time and will get you tons of attention wherever you go... I realized driving a stock 1968 anything on the streets of NYC isn't fun and I'm gonna hurt or kill myself, someone, tear the car up... or hell all three! Needless to say some things had to change and the car in its state at the time had to go. So I set out to fix that by driving it to Davenport Iowa where I'm originally from and taking it apart (garage space to work on a car is hard to come by in NYC)... that's right folks I blasted a third of the way across the country in this machine and yes it runs like hell and yes it was cool as hell... just in case your wondering ;)Upon arrival in Iowa I had the quarters replaced, took the fenders off, the bumpers came off, removed the interior, removed front suspension, removed steering column/box, removed fuel tank, removed the brake booster, removed intake and carburetor system from engine, took inventory of parts, ordered a whole bunch of other stuff and was super pumped to be doing this finally!!! Then I ran out of time and left for 2 years, had a baby and what can I say lost some momentum and interest :(...But only because I have an opportunity buy another dream car I've always wanted (74 Hemi Cuda). My wife the boss says I can't have both....:( so this is a great chance for someone to take this car to the next level and get a good deal on a body in pretty good condition (but still needs some work) and some very good parts. I was going to use it to thrash around but it's a good candidate for whatever at this point nice blank canvas. My plan was to leave it in black primer and make it a car that I could drive around town and look bad ass in black primer. You could do whatever you want at this point... On to the business end of this posting. What's she got?The car has has a new 347 stroker in it with lots of power mated to a new C 4 trans (probably 3k miles on motor and tranny), new fuel lines, new brake lines, new power brake booster still in box, manga flow exhaust, very clean undercarriage (call/email for picts), new TCP coil over front suspension, new TCP spindles with 1" drop, new brake rotors and pads (replacing the stock brakes was the next thing to go), new carpet (not glued down, still needs sound deadener put in), new full rear quarters, floor has been repaired where needed (by previous owner), new torque boxes, new radiator, Autometer gauge cluster still new in box...(cost over $1,000.00), LED tail lights still in packaging, new steeroids power steering rack and pinion, new Ididit tilt steering column, new flaming river steering wheel, new single piece head liner (mustangs to fear), new vintage wheel works wheels, new dash board, new power steering pump, new tires (can't remember what's on it)... and the list goes on and on... there's pretty much every screw, nut, bolt, you'd need to take the car in whatever direction you'd want to and probably enough leftover to build another one. Also forgot to mention that I removed the edelbrock EFI system and put the original intake and carb system back on it I just didn't have the time or interest in dialing in the EFI but it will go with the car...again all new parts only installed in this engine once lots of money there also. Better to sell a car that's running than a car that ran. I know I could loose some money on the parts and all the time I've put in but I'm ok with that because I enjoyed doing it and I have a chance to grab another car I've wanted for a long time. Also if my wife weren't putting the screws to me I wouldn't sell it all truthfully. What I don't have the patience for is tire kickers and dudes rollin up wasting time with silly offers, silly comments and no money... come correct and I'll work with you on price, payments, whatever ... it can be real cool and uncomplicated. I like to think I'm a pretty straight up guy and will tell u what's up with the car good or bad to the best of my knowledge. Call or text 563-676-6798 if you want to hear/know more, and get more pictures and/or video of the car running. Car is sold as is where is Davenport Iowa. Don't miss out, take it before I change my mind.... Non refundable paypal deposit, no games or it will cost you. But once it's gone... it's gone. for sale locally also so i could end auction early if it sells... call or text 563-676-6798
