Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 2003 Ford Explorer XLT. It's a 6-cyl and has the third seat in the back, so seats 7. It has leather seats, upgraded stereo CD player, power windows, power sunroof, power seats, third seat (Seats 7). It's a pretty nice Explorer. It's got the jack in place in the back... no tears in the seats as far as I know... no major rust or dents or interior damage. Title is in hand. $2300 dollars in work was done for safety last year to pass inspection including 4 new tires. It's an automatic transmission. It should be able to pass inspection this year as well with some very minor work. This car was a gift to me from my Uncle and I just want to get some back from what I've put into it for safety. It runs and drives right now with no serious problems (Details below). The fuel filler intake line was also replaced recently ($700 or so). Only things that i know of that are wrong with it: - Might need a fuel pump. It died while I was driving on the highway a few weeks ago. It was a cold day and I was low on gas. The garage told me they put 5 dollars of gas in it and "whacked" the fuel pump and now it runs fine. I drove it around for 2 weeks and it seems fine. They said it needs a fuel pump and they don't know if it will run for an hour or a year. I think it's possible the cold weather messed with the gas light and it might have just run out of gas. It has had a little trouble starting lately though so the fuel pump might be why. -AC does not work. Might need charge or new unit... I'm not sure. - Needs the rear right brake light bulb replaced. I bought some rear blinker or tail light bulbs I'll leave in the car...might fix the problem. - It bangs if you put it in reverse or drive and give it the gas too fast. You need to put in reverse and give it a second to change over before giving it gas, but this is not a problem once you get used to it. Not sure of the underlying issue. -The airbag light is on. It's faulty wiring. I know this because when my uncle gave it to me he said you just wiggle the wiring harness in the door and the light goes off...which it did for last years inspection. This might need to be looked at though. - It's dirty and needs a thorough detailing and cleaning inside...It's the condition I got it in last year and I never cleaned or detailed it. It's dirty! - The center console lid latch is broken... no big deal, but I'm listing everything I know of. - The door and window in the rear seem to de-latch on their own rarely. The door has never opened, but a few times I've hit a bump and the "Door Ajar" light came on. I looked in my rearview and the window in the rear had opened. Needs to be looked at if this bothers you. It's happened maybe 3 times in a year. - Lock nut for the wheel lugs might be missing. I'm not sure. I looked for it when I brought it to the shop and couldn't find it, but I will look again. This might be a special order thing. I'm not sure. - It's due for an oil change. - I did not get the inspection sticker in september when it was due, but this was just to save money as I'm getting rid of it. I fully think this car will pass inspection if some of these things are fixed. But I have to sell the car as is because I'm looking to get rid of it fast with no hassle. -A few more things... I think it's a clean title, not sure. I don't think it's ever been in a major accident... but not sure. Might need brakes soon. The Explorer is sold as-is because I don't want to deal with problems or haggling.... I listed everything I know and I want to sell it based on this write up and not have to worry about it 4 weeks from now. I think it's a decent SUV for the money and I want it to end up in the hands of someone who will enjoy it or use it to fix, flip and make some cash. I'm happy to answer any questions. James
