Vehicle Detail
Sorry to the people who bid on the car previously , me and ebay had a small error and my listing was removed by them by mistake ..I understand all the security measures and its all worked out .. 1968 Chevrolet Camaro beauty ... before i start i want to tell you that there are some pics with the car all black and some with the silver rally stripe , i added the silver rally stripe and lowered the car not long ago because i felt it was a little too bland and needed that little something extra...Its painted on , not stickers ... This car has had extensive work done to it , almost every nut and bolt has been touched ...too much to list but ill make a partial list so u can get the idea... Motor -- 355 bowtie phase 3 heads scorpion rockers trick flow pushrods pete jackson gear drive crane cam & lifters , nice and lumpy Comp cams push rod retainers edelbrock durashine intake edelbrock carb steel crank and rods melling hi flo oil pump moroso pickup moroso oil pan moroso motor mounts edelbrock fuel pump ceramic headers march billet alternator bracket chrome hi output power master alternator chrome and billet pulleys chrome hi flo water pump griffin alum radiator edelbrock elite valve covers fel pro gaskets plus alot more i cant think of Fresh Muncie 4 speed transmission just rebuilt Ram power grip clutch new pressure plate throw bearing bell housing driveshaft has new u joints new yoke new paint , dupont chroma premier black with cortez silver rs stripe paint is like glass and shines nice .. dupont clear body solid as a rock !!! steel cowl hood under carriage all brushed with por 15 , brush streaks a little bit but still looks great and is protected No rust !! No inch thick bondo !!! bunch of new interior pieces seat covers door panels carpet dash pad window cranks and handles sill plates dash buttons and knobs heater face plate custom kick panels with built in speakers Covans dash panel with custom gauges all new wiring harness , American auto wire steering column harness all switches are new , light , brake , hi/lo , directional , wipers etc mostly new trim on the body , light bezels tail lights , side markers grill ss badges ss gas cap window trim windshield trim emblems all new weather seals window felts door gaskets trunk gaskets mirrors w/ bowtie exterior door handles keys and locks new gas tank filler neck filler cover straps all stainless pre bent lines new front shocks lowering springs ball joints tie rods slotted and drilled disc brakes on front rear drums all rebuilt 10 bolt 8.5 rear updated master cylinder and booster proportioning valve pre bent stainless brake lines new chrome 17" American racing wheels Custom bent dual exhaust and very well done tons of stainless bolts and screws and interior screws etc chrome hood latch chrome fender braces new radiator support i could go on and about what i have done to this car but i have done soo much i really cant think of it all off top of my head.. take look at the body on this car , you can tell it was loved .. It runs great , drives down the road great ... No power steering so its a bit fun in tight spots but otherwise once your moving it turns normal .Power steering is not that hard to install if you wanted , i liked the fact nobody asks to drive my car ..stops great .. Sounds amazing and drives down the road good ..cruises nicely I have literally drove this car maybe 5 times since its been drive-able ...Its small for my family so we dont use it and it just sits in my shop ... otherwise i would never sell this car.. never gonna get back what i have in it .plus its a 68 camaro , american icon... we are currently building our dream car so there will be another in the stable soon..wish i could keep them all , really .. THE BAD -- windshield got a small crack in it when we were installing the new trim ( ouch ) about 5 inches long the speedometer needs the correct adapter that goes in the side of the transmission , i bought a new cable for the gauges but got the wrong piece that goes on the end of the cable in the transmission tail housing .. its literally like a $15 part passenger rear window goes up and down kinda funky sometimes , we installed all new rollers so i assume something silly... it needs a radio , i love the sound of the car so it didnt bother me too much .. and the car could use a console or something to make it a little more comfy inside ..I just never got around to it yet .. all small stuff or leave it the way it is and enjoy it .. Car runs very strong and everything on the car or done to the car has been done over the past couple yrs . my buddys mother owned the car since the 70's , its NOT a super sport or rally sport , just a nice solid camaro that i wanted to dress up( if it were a super sport i would have put back to factory original and never driven it ) ....Its been off the road since 1994 and in their garage , was a long term project for them until i bought it and put the car together ... so there you have the jist of it .... i have a lot of $$$ and time in this car and its right there ..You'll be getting a car that nobody really knows either because we never drove it any where and literally 4 or 5 times total .. with a few little touches here and there this car could be over the top ... i have well over $30k ( probably much more if i put it on paper ) in this car and literally drove it a handful of times .. i have vermont transferable paperwork / registrations for the car , which is all you need to get the car registered in your state ..Vermont is not a title state for cars over 15 yrs old , but if your state is , you will get a title back from your DMV ..easy as that just wanted to let you know , i have never once had an issue and have seen alot of hot rods come and go in my area / shop .. payment to be made in full within 7 days of auctions close by either cash on pick up or bank transfer , no checks !! non refundable deposit of $500 to made within 72 hours of auctions end , only saying this because these listings are not free and i understand things happen , thats life ..but if you just decide you dont want it any more after i pay for a listing why should i lose out a couple hundred bucks ?I like to believe that most folks are good honest people , especially in the classic car circles , just trying to be fair to you and myself .. I have described the car to the best of my ability , but i may miss out on some small details .. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have , before the auction ends please .. Thanks guys , happy holidays .. imagine seeing this in your yard for christmas !!!!!!! more cool toys coming soon..... Little vid i made of the car not long ago .. watch?v=UqkxiSi0qh0 On Dec-01-17 at 06:14:37 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks to everyone for the kind words and interest .. just wanted to take a minute and answer some of the more common questions im getting .. 1.
