What we have here is a pretty original example of one of Honda's wildest ideas for 1979 or any year!Spray "Tahitian Red"paint everywhere, make it super light weight, give it a "for the time" pack leading power band, put a 23" wheel ‎up front, and live up to the name: RED ROCKET! This bike has 95% of it's born with parts, aside from the spark plug boot, grips, throttle cable and a new .50mm over stock Weisco Piston‎, this is pretty much an untouched 1979 motocrosser. The original Honda proprietary Claw Action tires are still on this beauty, and the front tire looks hardly used. The factory DID rims are in amazing condition, no marring or chunks missing. Somewhere along this bikes lifetime someone resprayed the motor while still in the cradle, but at least there is not over spray everywhere‎ and it looks good. The fenders are not cracked, but do have some sun fade, the paint is original on the tank. This 2 stroker is almost 40 years old but in really good shape for its vintage, and it shows well.The bike starts, runs, shifts, and stops. Issues: Small wear/tear on the right ‎rear of the original seat cover. The throttle cable has a bit of slack in it, maybe a new cable, it works, but it snaps back slowly. There is a smooth dent on the top of the tank a few inches before it meets the top of the seat. The front sprocket cover is damaged, but it does not effect the chain action. Normal imperfections brought on by time and what looks like minimal usage are throughout, and the photos represent this '79 CR 125 well. Vintage bikes in this shape are getting harder and harder to find. This bike will have a new owner as this is a NO RESERVE auction.
