Vehicle Detail
This is a no reserve auction for a 1999 GMC sierra 2500 pickup with a fisher hydraulic snow plow (engine driven plow pump). It has 86,972 miles on it and was purchased from a local municipality 3 years ago and have used it for plowing my personal driveway ever since. I recently discovered it has a serious engine issue and may need the engine replaced or rebuilt. It was started last week for the first time in many months and found it to be overheating. Radiator was found empty. Added several gallons of antifreeze and discovered it was leaking into the oil system. I was told it may have a cracked engine block or cracked head. Nothing has been taken apart or disassembled. It is just not something I want to get involved with repairing. (I now have a tractor for plowing). Currently inspected, tires are new, engine will start and run. It will drive up onto a trailer but I certainly would not consider it driveable. (The oil looks like milk) Plow goes up and down but side to side are not working. (it worked last winter) . Brakes need attention. Overall the truck is in good shape for its age especially given the fact that is a plow truck. I don't believe there is any rust on the body and the underneath seems about normal for the age of truck. I have a clear title in hand. Located in Radnor PA, 19087 Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks and good luck. Cash or certified funds only. On Nov-14-17 at 05:31:15 PST, seller added the following information: I just want to add to be clear, if you fill up the radiator to the top, the coolant will literally gravity leak right into the crankcase oil and flood it. This is why I feel this is a major engine problem like a cracked block. I would rather the buyer assume the engine is done, maybe it could turn out to be something less catastrophic, but I would rather the buyer prepare for the worse. Thanks.
