Starting Bid Just $1. No Reserve. The winner of the auction gets my 1999 Honda Civic. This little car has 266,000 miles on it. The oil has been changed on schedule the entire time I've owned it - about every 5000 miles. I have all the service records. I bought this car with 76,000 Miles on it. Service records are below. Recent items repaired/replaced include: Timing Belt, Water Pump, Radiator. I generally get all my repairs at the Honda dealer in Des Moines, Iowa. What's wrong with it: - Catalytic Converter is bad (makes the check engine light come on, but the car works fine without it) - Drivers side power window is turned off. It's been like that 10 years because I didn't want to fork out $300 for a window motor. Because of that I don't use the drive-thru fast food. I park the car and go inside and take the food to go. - The driver's side mirror vibrates when you drive down the road. I'm not sure why, I just got used to it and forgot about it. - Dent in driver's side rear fender. Somebody hit it while I was inside the grocery store and took off. It's been like that for years. (I'm standing in front of the dent in the main picture) - Seems like I need to add a quart of oil every 2 months or so - This summer, the air conditioning was intermittent. You won't notice that problem until May. - The CD player is done for. - It will need new tires soon, they are about 5/32 or 4/32. Why I'm selling it: I think spending $1,000 (or less) a year to maintain this car is a great idea. I was hoping to keep this thing going another 3-5 years so I could give it to my kid when he starts driving. But, my wife finished school and got a new job so she wants a new car. As they say "Happy Wife, Happy Life" so the Civic gets the boot. Oh well. We're definitely going to buy another Honda. These things run forever if you fix them when they break. I have a feeling a car dealer will give us under $500 on a trade-in with this many miles on it so I figured I would auction it off instead. No minimum bids. No reserve. Since this is eBay, I suppose you can even pay for this car with a credit card. I'll take any kind of payment that PayPal accepts so bid like crazy. This car is located in Norwalk, IA 50211. You are welcome to come look at it, I should be home over Thanksgiving break. But to be fair, this auction is what will determine the price of the car so don't come over and try talking me 'down' in price because this car is being sold with this eBay auction.
