Vehicle Detail
1969 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADOW with only 59,473 which I believe is correct . Pros: the brake system was modified to a GM dual master-dual booster system back in 2006. No more expensive original rat trap system. which costs over $10,000 to fix. Original hydraulic rear suspension was removed and replaced with helper springs. Alternator was replaced and modified to a GM 1 wire chrome alternator. Tires replaced 2 years ago and only have a Few hundred miles. Battery replaced in 2015. Ignition coil upgraded to a high output coil for quicker starts. A/C was upgraded to function. Car is a nice looking 10 footer (does need a paint job) Car is presently registered and inspected. Fuel pump points were filed and cleaned for optimal performance. Gas in tank has been treated continously to guard against ethanol damage. Outside mirrors installed on both doors. Windows go up and down. The hub caps are not the original new ones kept getting stolen. Cons: Seat cushions covers were put on over dried and cracked seats and now looks presentable. Back seats are presentable, but dried up. There was an electric short in which there was a wiring job (not professional) to get the basic things operable and pass NY state inspection. I rarely took the car out due to knee replacement in the last year and half. That is a no no for a brake hydraulic system to let it sit for an extended time.I would replace all the chrome brake pistons which you can get on ebay with new seal kits from Prestigious Motors (Rolls Royce Bentley) reasonably priced as I feel pedal resistance in the caliper chrome on some pistons may be pitted and hanging up. Fronts and back caliper pistons can be replaced by a good mechanic within a days work. Again not safe to drive in its present condition. There is an exhaust leak from a crack in the right exhaust manifold to which it cost me a few hundred dollars to buy a replacement which will be included in the sale of the vehicle.Picture of interior trunk shows the exhaust manifold.Again comes with the car but must be signed for by the shipper or tow company upon vehicle pick up. Wiring to the gas tank gauge need to be done as it does not move. You can as i done with a long dowel stick check the gas in the tank through the gas filler tube the same as checking the oil left in your oil tank.My loss could be your gain as this is a no reserve auction starting at $3500 being sold as a project car/parts car. One thing I will tell you, when driving this car you will get more thrumbs up on the road when its all finished. In N Y State prior to 1973 there are no car titles but transferable registrations. You will get that + a paid for bill of sale once all payments clear. A $500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours sent to Pay Pal to secure transaction at Auction End. the Balance of payment with either a personal check or bank check (no pay pal balance payment will be accepted beyond the $500 deposit with the 48 hour time limit]) within 7 days of Auction End. After I get verification of cleared payment by bank usually within 7-- 10 business days of deposit the car will be cleared to have it picked up.CAR NEEDS TO BE SHIPPED WHICH IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY. AND AGAIN CAR TO BE SOLD AS PROJECT/PARTS CAR GOOD LUCK AND PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS.-- THANK YOU
