Vehicle Detail

2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.3-liter V8 380+ Horsepower Only 25k miles Meteor Silver Includes Original Manuals Includes Original Battery Conditioner Includes Original Umbrella Absolutely Beautiful This Aston has been upgraded and babied. The original owner added a Quicksilver exhaust that increases the horsepower and adds an exhaust note that can only be described as angry (search for aston martin quicksilver exhaust on YouTube). This car is a fire breathing dragon with the naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8, 6-speed manual transmission, and Quicksilver exhaust. It is a dream to drive and sounds amazing. The exterior is Meteor Grey (same as many of the Bond cars and looks very similar to the Vanquish used in Die Another Day). The interior is also amazing and has been kept as clean as possible since it’s birth. Aston starts with as many as 15 hides of leather to cover most surfaces (including hidden surfaces like the inside of the door handle). They add contrasting Alcantera to the headliner to give it a completely luxurious feel. To improve this already tailored interior, I added custom-made carbon fiber details including the gearshift surround, waterfall center console, rear center console, and door sills. I also added custom leather-trimmed floor mats and rear shelf carpet made to compliment the interior. In all, this car has over $10k of upgrades and is as nice a V8 Vantage as you can find on the market. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is possibly the best bang-for-your buck in exotic motoring today. It is quite affordable even by normal standards, and offers an engaging, exotic, luxurious driving experience, affordable maintenance and repairs, and far more than adequate performance. From Edmonds:Designed to be the most accessible vehicle in Aston’s lineup, the V8 Vantage costs about $120,000 new by the time desirable options such as a navigation system and full leather trim are added. That's about $20,000 more than a fully loaded 911, but Aston buyers are assured of greater exclusivity, as only 2,000 or so units are expected to roll out of AM's plant each year in Gaydon, England. The new Vantage is possibly the only car in the world that can make the gorgeous DB9 look less than perfect. As a sculpture, the V8 Vantage is one of the most stunning sports cars of all time; the body is tautly stretched over the 102.4-inch wheelbase with minimal overhangs and the fenders cover the 19-inch wheels with devastating sensuousness. The windshield is fitted into its one-piece aluminum frame at such an extreme angle that the car's profile is practically ballistic.Underneath, the "VH" (Vertical Horizontal) structure that underpins the Vantage is an intricate assembly of aluminum extrusions, steel and magnesium castings and composite body panels, all bonded together with advanced adhesives, self-piercing rivets and welds so beautiful you can run your fingers over them and never feel a bump or a joint. The Aston's firepower comes courtesy of a 4.3-liter V8 engine. Although a handful of components are shared with V8s used by Jaguar, Aston says its engine is very much its own. It develops 380 horsepower at 7,300 rpm and 302 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. By introducing a dry-sump oil system, Aston's engineers have been able to mount the engine low in the chassis. It also sits behind the front axle so this is very much a front-midengine car. The weight distribution is a respectable 49-to-51 percent front to rear.Away from the numbers and on the road, the 2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is indeed a very appealing choice for a no-excuses sports car. It's beautifully built and a brilliant performer. There's no doubt that it will be more pleasing to own than a Porsche 911, and the experience will be enhanced by the rarity induced by the car's limited production. This is a private sale from an enthusiast - not a dealer or mechanic. All sales final. Buyer must ask questions in advance and the car is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty. You may arrange a mechanic to look at the car but once the auction ends, the car is sold.
