For sale: '03 VW GTI 1.8T 5 speed manual 223,945 miles. APR TUNED Stage 1--93 octane program. Owned since Oct '09 (72,600 miles). Synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles. Timing belt, water pump and tensioners last serviced 155k miles. Newsouth Performance boost gauge&pod on the steering column. No check engine or warning lights. In the past year car got a new starter, battery, after cat oxygen sensor, and camshaft position sensor. Suspension rebuilt once with Autotech Sport Tuning Cup kit. Stock downpipe flex joint broke--replaced it with a Magnaflow performance downpipe and cat. Both fronts and passenger side rear wheel bearings have been replaced. Cat back exhaust is original and not in good shape. The radio reception on AM is bad/FM is fine. The rear hatch latch mechanism doesn't always reset. Driver side mirror broke where it is suppose to fold back--it is held in place by epoxy and a self tapping screw up through the bottom cover. Have new bolt for driver side sway bar end link-- broke while work being done to replace wheel bearing. CLutch strong and does not slip. Brakes work well and have lots of pad left, parking brake is not functional. Rust at the back of the front wheel wells and on the fenders, leading edge of passenger door, around hatch latch, lower hatch lip and where the hood is chipped on the leading edge. 2 minor incidents with the car--one with a deer right front corner another with a loose manhole cover--over 5 years ago--professionally repaired. Dent above the driver rear wheel there when I bought the car. Driver seat is tired. A/C compressor clutch does not engage. The tires are all at the wear bars. Maxed out the picture count and took detailed pictures of the car including problem areas. I am sharing all I know--good and bad, but understand I may have missed something and the car is selling as is. I know a lot about this particular car, but I'm not an expert on everything about them--I did the best to describe everything as I know how. NO reserve--ONE BID Will Buy!
