WELCOME!! You are viewing a GORGEOUS 1998 Volkswagen Beetle TDI, Turbo Diesel 1.9 Liter MINT superb running engine equipped with a very nice Manual Stick shift 5 speed Transmission. The Clutch is BRAND NEW, with barely 100 miles on it, complete Complete Clutch Kit with new Clutch Fork installed. The very common worn Clutch Fork, changed as well, very common issue for these older Bug TDIs. The car gets about 50 MILES PER GALLON YES!!! Its very true. Even the window sticker under values the highway capabilities on these TDIs. These Manual TDI Version Beetles are VERY HARD to find without having 300k miles on them. Since people never want to give them up and keep driving them til 300k to 400k miles on them. Especially the 50 MPG will discourage most people for wanting to sell. The mileage is very low 167k miles on it, which is barely breaking in the Diesel engine, you can ask around. This was one of the best Volkswagen engines EVER MADE the 1.9 LITER ALH ENGINE, which doesn't have the newer issues like the newer TDI versions and the emissions issues.Not to mention much CHEAPER to maintain. I own another 01 Black VW Golf TDI with a lot of work done, so I have no use for this one. Im into Older VWs that are super clean and NEVER IN ANY ACCIDENT EVER!!! Very hard to find. This was owned honestly by an elderly female, who claimed the Stick shift manual transmission was nice exercise for her? But barely used the car since she stopped driving all together because she moved away to a retirement community in Florida with minimal parking there. Though I changed the Oil/Filter, New Battery as well as Brand New clutch. Tires still have tread left and brakes are fine for a while as well. The timing belt/water pump was changed about 20k to 30k miles ago. This is an AMAZING car if you don't want to pit mileage on your newer car, or want to buy for your newly driving daughter or son. They are super easy to drive and super FUN. Very easy to park/reverse, because of the hatchback and SUPER roomy with the hatchback as well as folding down rear seats!!! You can move all of your kids stuff in the car when they are off to college. And the car will last all through the years of college!!!! The price is FIRM at $4500, for people who appreciate this beauty. You get what you pay for!!!
