My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 80+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2007 Volvo S40. The S40 is Volvo's small sedan that is anything but small when it comes to safety and quality. I would rate the exterior of this S40 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Silver Metallic over Off Black. The finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Volvo, the worst I can say is that there are some small black spots on the left fender above the shoulder. You probably cannot see them in the photos...but they are there. Otherwise, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this S40. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this S40 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. The seats are clean and comfortable, showing minimal wear. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The stereo is original and also works properly. The climate control system also appears to be in good working condition. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The interior is roomy and comfortable for a smaller car. The trunk is clean and also impressively spacious. The original owner's books, as well a the original window sticker, are included. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.4L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. There is a slight, occasional, vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. Everything feels tight and it doesn't pull one way or the other so I'd lean towards an out of balance tire or something simple. I drove this car 90 miles home, all highway, and she got me home with zero issues. She hits the road nice and straight. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints, aside from the aforementioned occasional vibration. If you're looking for a good driver that is reliable and gets great fuel economy, this little S40 deserves your careful consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
