Offered for auction is a 2011 Toyota Prius 3 Hybrid Hatchback with a 1.8 engine. Original sticker price was $27,410. It is fully equipped with power windows, tilt wheel, cruise control, JBL stereo, satellite radio, power locks, A/C, navigation system and back up camera. It even has a remote start feature. This is a recent, one owner, dealer serviced trade in from a local Toyota dealer. There was a clerical error in the paperwork, which we did not catch. We purchased the vehicle with 48,488 miles and have a signed odometer disclosure statement from the original owner and the Toyota dealer confirms this. The dealer wrote down 55,500 miles. In any event, legally it has to be sold True Mileage Unknown (TMU). Car Fax records as well as the Toyota dealer records both show the miles are correct and this was clearly a clerical error. But we have to sell it TMU. This care is very clean. It has a few minor scratches in the front and rear bumper covers, a small dent in the left fender. And if you look really hard, you may find a minor nick or scratch like any vehicle of this age (see photos). I took this car on vacation last week and drove 900 miles and averaged 47 MPG fully loaded down. The A/C is ice cold, the tires are in great shape and it is a pleasure to drive. I have a signed odometer disclosure from the original owner that states that when traded in it had 55,500 miles on it, not 48,448 I bought it with 48,448 miles on it. I think what happened is they were to lazy to go outside and check it so they just took a guess, especially with a nice round number of 55,500. All service records as well as car fax verify 48,488 are accurate. Clearly this was a clerical error. Legally it has to be sold TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN and I do not want any confusion on this matter.
