My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best at to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully and read this entire description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Dodge Durange SLT V8 4x4. The Dodge Durango is based off of the rugged and reliable Dakota pickup truck, so it's reputation for being a tough SUV is well earned. The Durango is a nice in between size between a normal small SUV and something full sized like a Suburban. I would rate the exterior of this Durango to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, she doesn't look to bad for an old truck. The black finish shows its age in places, but is acceptable for the age and mileage. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few scratches and scrapes commensurate with age and mileage. On this Durango, the only thing worth noting is that the rear bumper looks to be pushed up a bit on the left side. As far as rust goes, I can see some rust through on the bottom of the tail gate and at the back of the left rocker, as well as surface rust on the lower portion of the LF fender. From what I can see, the frame rails and floors look good. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a matching set of Goodyear's with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Durango to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards sow well for their age and are tight. The carpets show a few marks, as you'd expect, but are not excessively worn. The leather seats show well for their age (just minimal wear on the driver's seat) and are comfortable throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The power windows, locks, seat and mirrors all work properly. The radio is original and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. There is rear heating and air conditioning, too. Access to the 3rd row of seating is simple and straight forward. There is ample room in the back for most passengers. The cargo area is spacious and clean. When not in use, the 3rd row easily folds flat to open up a remarkable amount of storage. The only thing I found that was broken is the door to the center arm rest up front. You can see in the photos that it does not latch. Mechanically, this Durango appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.7L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. She hits the road as straight as an arrow. The engine makes good power and feels smooth. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally through all the gears. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Durango comes in as a fresh NEW CAR TRADE from right here in Central PA.
