Vehicle Detail
For sell is a 2009 Mazda MazdaSpeed 3 hatchback with Grand Touring trim with only 25.6k miles. I'll provide a brief history of my owning of the vehicle and then detail current issues/damage on the vehicle. Overall, the vehicle is what I'd classify as good condition. The interior is in great shape, and there things here and there on the exterior (please read below). History:I bought the car new in 2009 and drove it consistently in and around Kansas City, MO prior to moving to Washington D.C. in 2011. After being in D.C. for a couple of weeks, I decided I didn't need a vehicle, and so I shipped it back to my home state of Arkansas to be stored in my parent's garage. It's been there ever since. I drive it when I visit home, but otherwise it stays in the garage aside from when my dad fires it up to keep the battery charged. I kept the vehicle because I assumed I would bring it back up to D.C.; however, it's been 6 years and that still hasn't happened. I'm selling it now because it will just keep depreciating, and my wife and I operate just fine with one vehicle up here. I've tried my best to take good care of it as it has been the only brand new vehicle I've owned. It's never been in any accidents/wrecks, and I've changed the oil every 3k miles. Damage/Issues details which can be viewed in photos:One of the rims has deep scratches close to the tire well which can be seen in the photo. This occurred on a snowy day whereby I slid into a curb. There are scratches on the plastic spoiler on the back of the vehicle. This occurred when a garage door closed on top of the vehicle when backing out one day. The door didn't hit the roof of the vehicle, just the spoiler. The front grill has a slight crack. I occurred after I had it parked in long term parking at an airport, and I noticed it when I got back. All I can figure is a vehicle with a trailer hitch or something backed into me. It's not very noticeable and is kind of hard to view in the photo. There is a ding in the front window. I got caught behind a dump truck one day that wasn't covered. A rock bounced out and hit the windshield. It's been through several winters and summers, and there's been no crack spread, so I never bothered replacing the whole window aside from applying sealant. There is a scratch on the front hood towards the grill. It happened while being stored in the garage when some stuff was getting moved around. There is some damage around the window on the driver side front door. My car was broken into the short time I had it in D.C. This damage was a result of that break-in. The check engine light is on. It's been a headache for us. The car has always driven fine, so we're not sure exactly what's going on. Originally it gave us a code for the mass air flow sensor. We replaced that, and the light went off for a short while. It has sense came back on and was giving us the mass air flow sensor code again but is now giving us code PO134, which corresponds with the oxygen sensor. Given that the light came back on sense I've had it down in Arkansas, it hasn't been a priority to figure out what's going on. As I've said, whenever I go home and drive the vehicle, it performs just fine. I know the fact that the check engine light is on hurts my resale value, but I can't justify spending the time and labor figuring out what the deal is to get the light to go off. That should cover everything. Please contact me with any questions you have. Thank you.
