1985 Bmw K100rt. fuel injected, 5 speed manual transmission, non abs brakes.Just finished a frame off restoration.Major service performed. This includes drive shaft spline lubrication, valve clearance checked and were all within spec., so no wear was detected. All Fluids were flushed and replaced with synthetic engine oil, synthetic transmission and rear differential grease. New K&N air cleaner and new oil filter.The fairings were removed for a more Cafe Racer Style. I will include them if they are wanted with the sale.The frame was media blasted primed with K2 epoxy primer and painted Hot Rod Black an epoxy paint.The stands were blasted, primed and lubricated then painted with stone chip black paint and rubberized undercoating.The exhaust was ceramic coated flat black.The engine was painted with satin black engine paint.The following items are new: Battery, head bearings, tires front and rear, rear engine seal, clutch, clutch boot, front and rear master brake cylinders were rebuilt, handle grips, mirrors, headlamp, fuel filter, fuel pump, all fuel lines, fork seal, clutch cable and fork dust covers.I added a summit racing fuel pressure gauge. *It's nice to know your fuel pressure.The brake pads were like new and reused.The seat is a corbin and very comfortable so i left it on the bike.All the accessories horn and lamps work. The fuel tank has no dents and is aluminium.I added stainless fasteners for tank cap gasket, and ignition coil pack covers.The bike comes with owners manual, 2 sets of keys and the original tool kit.This was a fun project, BMW has really gone above and beyond when building a bike.Parts are readily available. Nada motorcycle listing has the value at $3350.00, below the buy it price. There are many other bikes for sale, but not many that have undergone this extensive of a restoration and maintence repairs. Most bikes are sold and not given any major service. When you take possession of the bike, the first thing you do is a major service, oil, filters, brakes, fluids, tires, splines on a drive shaft bike, chain, belts etc. At least $500.00 or more in maintence cost just to make the bike reliable and safe. This expense has been remove from your cost when you buy this bike. (I did the service for you).
