Attention BMW collectors. Up for bid is an absolutely pristine 1976 BMW R90/6. The final and best year for the /6 series airhead - this R90/6 could be the finest example on the planet or at least would be in the conversation. With only 5,603 original miles it's a time capsule and as close to coming off the production floor as any bike could be. Triple numbers matching of course, the R90/6 is finished in the rare and beautiful Nurburg green metallic. I found the bike a few years back as part of a collection that was well cared for in 100% original conditional along with registration and maintenance records. I only changed the tires to Avon AM26s along with new tubes (original factory Continental tires and tubes will come with the bike if desired). I also replaced the fuel lines with factory braided, changed all fluids, new Panasonic battery, tune up and that was it - a true sight to behold. Its starts runs and rides as new. Center stand was also replaced by the previous owner with a wonderful Reynolds ride off. The only cosmetic flaws I can tell are a couple of small chips on the right side battery cover that had been touched up along with a small battery acid mark on the left cover, touched up as well. There is also a very, very small ding in the left front of the tank (see pics) and a small acid stain on the left side muffler. Other than that the bike is virtually perfect. Show, ride, collect - I doubt you will find one nicer. It pains me to sell as this was the bike I was going to keep forever. However things change and I need to downsize my collection - as a result she's reluctantly up for sale. I have clear PA title in my name. The bike comes with original tool roll, owners manual and the BMW shop towel. Mileage may increase slightly as I ride the bike occasionally. I tried to describe the bike as accurately as possible and to the best of my knowledge. Please look at the pictures closely. Ask any questions before bidding. This is a 41 year old vintage motorcycle - I am not an expert and there may be issues I'm unaware of or that may come up in future. As a result it is sold "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied. I encourage bidders to inspect the motorcycle in person and will make myself available if desired. All sales are final, and there is no refund or return. There is a $250 deposit end of auction with full payment due in 7 days. Buyer must also contact me within 2 days after the auction has ended to arrange payment and pickup. Bike is located in south eastern PA. I can assist with locating a shipper, help load the bike etc. I'm also available to deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee. As long as the bike is paid in full I can store the bike for a reasonable period of time.
