Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1980 Suzuki GN400 cafe racer. It runs like a champ and has a clean title. I bought it awhile back and have been slowly converting it to a cafe bike. Mechanically, it's in nearly perfect condition. The engine sounds great. It has only 10k miles on it, performs incredible, and doesn't leak a drop of oil. Cosmetically, it has a few issues. The paint is chipping in places, and it has a few tiny surface rust spots on the outside of the tank. Also has a dent in the left side of the tank, beneath the knee pads. Recent things I've done to it are:* Brand new tires (less than 50 miles on them)* Brand new battery* Fresh oil change* Complete carb rebuild The only thing I see it needing is a new chain, a windshield for the fairing, and possibly some side covers fabricated for it. The bike is kick start only and has a 6 volt electrical system (comes with an extra battery). That being the case, I removed the blinkers to lessen its load. It's perfectly legal to ride in Texas without turn signals, but I do still have them in case you want to put them back on. Headlight, tail light, and brake light work just fine. There is a slight popping from the exhaust on deceleration, but that's due to the aftermarket exhaust. It doesn't harm the bike whatsoever and doesn't effect performance one bit. I actually prefer the popping noise, but the new owner can get rid of it by simply tweaking the air/fuel mixture screw on the carb if he or she wishes. This little bike is an absolute blast to ride! I have 6 bikes that I'm in the process of building, and this has quickly become one of my "go to" rides. The only reason I'm selling it is to gain funds for the other projects. I do hate to see it go though. Bike is being listed locally. Pickup only.
