Up for sale is my very clean Fiat X1/9, this is a fantastic little sports car, mid engined and styled by Bertone. I purchased the car from the original owner who is a close friend of mine. This car has been maintained beyond meticulous, he has kept and recorded every service done to the car. Timing belt was recently replaced, recent oil change with Lucas oil stabilizer, and transmission was just serviced. The car runs and drives very well, everything is super tight and operates as it did from the factory. The car was originally purchased in Idaho and has been here its entire life so rust is minimal. As for the mechanical's it is very un Italian like, I have never had a problem with it, the car always fires right up and runs beautifully, transmission shifts well but will occasionally grind when downshifting into second if done too quickly. The cars tracks straight and drives smoothly, brakes are great. I do not know when the clutch was last replaced but it operates smoothly and predictably. As for the electrical systems everything works with the exception of the headlight switch, the headlights can be operated manually and will retract with the headlight switch but wont go up with the switch, an easy fix I just don't have the time or knowledge necessary. Now for the cosmetics, all glass is original and chip free, the body is as straight as an arrow and wears and older repaint in its original color, which looks very nice, the paint was touched up on the nose and trunk lid as can be seen in the photos by the slightly different color paint, this is due to light fading that occurred. Targa top is in great shape and does not leak, interior is a very nice driver quality, drivers side seat has some seam splitting but passenger is very nice and no cracks in the dash. The car has 163k miles but drives beautifully. There is very little rust in the driver and passenger floors, what rust is there has been pictured and that is the only rust I have been able to find. The car leaks a little oil when it sits (its Italian) but never uses any and doesn't ever need a top up between oil changes.
