Vehicle Detail
This 1974 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pick up Truck is a Frame up Hotrod build. This is a show car winner!! There was no expense spared with the build. Over $70,000 invested. This truck was finished about a month ago and has only 200 miles on the vehicle. The engine was built by JMS Racing in El Monte, as well as the chassis tuned to perfection, so any questions about how amazing and streetable this vehicle is can be verified through them as a 3rd party! Engine is a 355 Dart Block, Scat Forged Rotating Assembly with 8:1 compression for street gas. Add AFR heads, fuel injection and roller rockers for a great running truck. To make sure there is enough horse power they added a Banks Twin Turbo set up with 8lb waste gates. These can be changed to the 12lb waste gates if you feel you need even more power! Vintage Air Serpentine belt drive system with A/C and power steering makes the engine compartment look awesome. A large BeCool radiator and external oil cooler and transmission coolers get the truck at a perfect 180 degrees, even in the hot Southern California heat wave we have been having. 700R4 Transmission was custom built by TCI along with the convertor to make sure the power is put out properly to the custom built Curry Enterprises 9" rear end. To keep things on the ground we added a Heidts Coil Over front and rear suspension system. With the 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes this C10 stops as fast as any late model vehicle. Front has the optional rack and pinion steering, rear is a 4 link, with anti-sway bars front and rear. Plenty of adjustment left over if you want to drop the truck to the ground.... I'm just old and like the 70's look it's set at now. Paint is flawless and is the good stuff from Arizona. Interior has a Dakota Dash, Autowire wiring harness, built in GPS, built in Fuel Injection/Turbo Monitor and an Ididit Tilt Steering column. Add to all this the ice cold air conditioning with one piece windows you have a very quite and comfortable ride. Some questions came up so I thought I would add here for all: Trans was a Street Fighter unit upgraded by TCI with better 3/4 clutches to handle the power. I don't remember what else they did at this time but they suggested we keep the HP to 900 ie the 8lb waste gates. Rear end is Curry 9+ big bearing, 355 gear (compliments the 700R4), 28 spline, trac lock (to keep it streetable) 1350 yoke/u-joints. Truck started out with XFI direct port injection and had nothing but problems, so JMS switched it to FiTech. Now it runs hard and strong and idles so smooth. Like I said, a great daily driver/sleeper. Paint is single stage and shinny as can be! Truck stripped to bare metal before paint inside and out. This truck is built to cruise or hit the show car circuit. It is built so well and so easy to drive you can use it as a daily driver. I put the buy it now at a killer price for a fast sale so it is firm.
