For sale is my 1985 XJ Vanden Plas HE, which is essentially an Xj6 sedan with a factory installed V12: It is sometimes referred to as a “XJ Double Six” or “XJ12”. Only 364 Vanden Plas HE’s were produced in 1985, none sold in the US, and was imported from Germany when new by a specialty car dealership in Texas. It has only 62,000 miles, I have lots of documentation to confirm this. It has a branded title and does not run.When I bought it in 2007 I did a lot of work on it including a completely new front suspension, a new transmission, new headliner, new gas tank, tuned the motor really well and lots of other miscellaneous things. I drove it for 6 months and then was hit at an intersection. It bent the drivers fender and bumper, fairly minor. I disagreed with the insurance companies decision to brand the title, and stored it for 6 years while I sued them. Four years ago I took it out of storage and parked at my house, and in that time all the fuel lines have split and need to be replaced. The clear coat is peeling and the leather interior is dry and rough. There will probably be other things like electrical gremlins that will surface when who ever buys it starts to work on it. Over all though it needs very little to make it run, or is the perfect car if you want a very unique jaguar to fix up and show. I have put about $13,000 into the car, the 3 Piece BBS Wheels are worth $800 used on their own, I just don’t have the time to work on it and would like to see it go to a good home!SAJJDRLW4CC428812
