Vehicle Detail

This is a 1965 MGB Mark I. The car was restored in ~1997. From 1998 to 2016, the car was parked. I have repaired, upgraded, and replaced many of the mechanical components, but the fenders have rusted, and a cosmetic restoration is overdue. The car runs very well, but I have too many old British cars. I need to make space in the driveway. This is a fun car for my daily commute. It would make a good restoration project, or a really good parts car for an ongoing restoration.BodyPull-handle door latchesAluminum hoodGrill, bumpers, and trim in good conditionSteel dashClean interiorVinyl soft top is completetly intactWindshield is in excellent conditionThere is rust on the body Drive trainI replaced the original 3-main engine with an 18GB engine that was used for competition in VARA and CorinthianCompetition CAM (requires rich idle)Modified head (large valves, enlarged intake ports, ready for dual DCOE-45 carbs)Weber DGV carburetor for street useDeep oil pan (sump is extended downward 1", with baffle to prevent sloshing and cavitation on long turns)Pre-engaged starterLucas sport coilSteel braid oil linesPre-lube circuit allows connection of an external oil pump (not included) for priming after long storage60 PSI oil pressure at idleReduced mass flywheel3-into-1 exhaust headersOxygen sensor port for precision tuning.Full synchro 4-speed transmission Brakes, Suspension, and SteeringKnock-on hubsWire wheels, good tires, balanced with a purpose-built adapter (I can make another if you need one - Contact me)Brake and clutch hydraulics are converted to use silicone fluidMoto-lita steering wheelNew rotors & padsRebuilt front calipersNew drums & shoesNew rear wheel cylindersAluminum differential casing (removable third member)ElectricalOriginal wiring harnessesTrunk-mounted 12 V batteryElectric temperature gaugeNegative earth, alternator
