Vehicle Detail

Up for grabs is my 1968 Triumph Bonneville. This is a numbers matching bike and I have a clear title.I purchased this bike quite a few years ago from the second owner, who happens to be the neighbor of the original owner. The previous owner had it for 25 years, and rode it a couple times a year in parades. Since my ownership, I ride it to a couple of car shows and vintage bike shows a year. Point is, it is all original. The pistons are still factory, never rebored, still has points system, and the bike runs great. Starts on 2nd or 3rd kick and once warm, is a joy to ride. The speedo was rebuilt at 14,400 miles, and I have since put 740 miles on the bike. These are original miles, as I say, I know the first two owners. There are some light scratches on the mufflers, a small dimple in the oil tank and normal wear and tear, though very little for a bike this age. This is not a restored bike, and is for me at least, meant to be ridden as is, with all the character of a 50 year old bike. The only thing I have done is put new tires on last year, new carbs, but have the originals, and the tank was painted, had faded so bad, there was no color left. Inside the tank looks like brand new. I also have many extra parts that I bought from an old dealer. I have a new old stock complete Lucas headlight and shell, with ammeter, front end, as this is a one year only for the lower forks, rear brake drum and hub, Lucas rear tail light and housing, primary, clutch and timing covers, New rear tire, and many more odds and ends. I bought these only to have in case something ever happened to the bike. I also have a complete set of Snap-On whitworth wrenches and sockets, as well as many other tools, best part, is the complete set of original tools and tool roll that came with the bike. I can provide pics, of all the parts and tools if wanted, just no room for them on this listing. As you see, I have a 100% rating. I am listing with the best description of the bike, so as not to mislead in any way. I stand behind my good rating and if you have any questions, or would like more details please ask, and I will ensure you are getting exactly what I describe. I require $500.00 at end of auction. Shipping is buyers responsibility, I can assist, by being available if needed for a shipping pick up. Thanks and many great rides to her new owner! I attached a couple of photos of some of the extra items I listed that go with the bike, not enough room for all photos, but can give a detailed list and pics as needed. I also have many Triumph books, collectibles and other nostalgia items I will be including. Between tools, parts and collectables, there are a few thousand dollars. You will not find a more original 68 out there, unmolested.
