Vehicle Detail
1965 Chevy Impala Station Wagon 6 passenger restored. I sourced a single owner garaged kept complete wagon. The running wagon was in original condition with a 327 engine, 2 spd powerglide with a factory 12 bolt. Turquoise exterior/turquoise interior. California titled with a black plate. Less of a frame off restoration the car is mechanical and cosmetically sound. Engine compartment was cleaned and detailed during engine and trans install. Here is a list of what is new. GM 350 crate engine (carb, intake, distributor, wires, starter, front drive assys, air cleaner, valve covers)Jeg's turbo 350 w/torque converterMid-length headers, dual exhaust with turbo mufflersOriginal radiator re-coredBattery, battery cablesHoses, radiator overflow Complete frontend suspension rebuild kit (rubber)Ride-Tech air ride system w/RQ (ride quality billet shocks)2" drop spindlesFront disc brake conversion kit20" Boss 338 chrome wheels w/20" tires CarpetHeadlinerDoor panelsUpholstered seats (front/back)Upholstered rear cargo panelsSunvisorArmrest padsDash padSeat belts (6 pairs) Repainted to factory color code. Original parts unrestored: BumpersGrillRocker panels (wagon only)Luggage rackDoor armrestsWindow cranks, inside/outside door handlesSteering wheelGuage clusterRadio (turns on but no sound)All glassTrim around all windows The car is mechanically fit and is super clean for a local car show, a trip to dinner in the next town or to the next state. Reliable enough to carry the kids and a skeptical wifey. I wanted to see if I would be an Impala wagon guy. I'm not. I'm more into 59-60 wagons. So someone is going to get a super clean fullsize Impala Station Wagon. I build about 3 cars a year personally through my shop (gets me out of the house at night) and there are no short cuts to get a car to look as this does. The key is to start with a good complete car. It's not a 40K plus show car nor an 15K painted rust bucket with blankets for seat covers. Everything works as it should. Power rear tailgate glass, heater, lights, signal lights... The wagon has less then 100 miles since completed. The chrome on the wheels have a little pitting on the inside of the wheels. And the front door handles rub against the lower door panel. Can help with shipping. Thanks for looking and happy new year!
