SECOND RELIST - Listing errors corrected I discovered some errors in my previous listing and have new information to share about the condition of this project car. I chose to not edit what is below so you can see what I said in the original listing. First of all, the fuse block is present but pulled down with wiring exposed in a way that it appeared it was missing. However, it is clear some electrical check out and repairs are needed. There is also some fuel injection hardware missing. In addition, I pulled the tape off the two corners of glass (left corner of front windshield and right corner of rear windshield - new pictures added) and discovered evidence of caulking as an attempt to stop water leaks from a bad rubber glass gasket. The metal underneath is rusty but there are no visible holes to repair. My suggestion will be assume that glass has to be carefully removed and replace the rubber after the metal is prepped and repainted. In other words, this car is in better condition than I previously thought. I have a 1981 Scirocco S but I can only keep one project since I am in the process of building a new house too. I am only doing a 5 day listing this time because I really would like for this car to be picked up next weekend. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. RELIST - Winner of previous auction was unable to complete transaction Missing battery and fuse block otherwise complete car ready for restoration. This car was rescued from a mechanic's boneyard where it has been resting for at least 2 years. All former owner's (one?) records are available. The mechanic said that the only issue at the time it was parked was a bad ignition switch. I have purchased a new switch which I will include but will not be installed. This car is not driveable and will need to be towed. Absolutely no warranty is either expressed or implied.
