800x600 Honda VT-1100 Shadow. The oil and filter have been changed every 3000 miles; the shaft drive gear oil, brake fluid, fork oil, coolant, and air filter have been changed every 10,000 miles. The swing arm bearing and steering head were repacked at 40,000 miles. The in./ex. valves have hydraulic lash adjusters and require no maintenance. The tires (Metzelers) have less than 2000 miles on them, and the brake shoes and pads were replaced at the same time as the tires. The stock seat is very comfortable and has no tears or visible wear. The engine has never consumed any oil, has never smoked (including during start-up), and has locomotive-like torque at all speeds. The gas tank appears clean inside. Stock rear toe-pegs, not in the photo, are included. There is a small ding on the tank where a rake handle fell against it in the garage, and a small scatch on the front fender (see photos). I was in an automobile accident several years ago and had to stop riding. This bike has been sitting in my garage since that time, in the hopes that I could ride it again. The last time it was ridden was 1,700 miles R/T to Daytona Beach Motorcycle Week; it is a reliable and comfortable motorcycle that has never let me down. Having sat for several years it will need the usual: clean the carbs and a new battery. Having done that, I am certain you will have a good running and reliable motorcycle. The following is based on my experience last summer. I have not touched the bike since: Jumping with another 12v battery, she fired right up and idled perfectly. On a 15 minute test drive she pulled very hard up to about half speed in each gear, but then leaned out and would lose power. At lower RPMs she ran normal. As I said, I am confident that if you just clean the carbs, she is going to run like new. I am the original owner and have the original title. The only rust I am aware of is clearly visible in the pictures (VERY light on some of the chrome…the dullness of the chrome in the pictures is tarnish and dust, and will polish right off). (P.S.
