1999 Land Rover Discovery Series 2 - 243,600 miles, White, Runs Fine, won't pass emissions, Hail damage. Located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Car is not registered, but can get temporary registration. Clear title. I have original pink slip. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY. THE BAD:1. Won't pass emissions here in Larimer County, Colorado. I just had it tested, it passes all criteria except the NOx. Many places in Colorado don't have emissions standards, or less stringent ones. 2. Misfire in pistons 4 and 7. This is likely the reason it won't pass emissions. I don't know what is causing the misfire, might be catalytic converter, bad coil, or bad plugs, although I just had the plugs replaced. 3. Heater / A/C blower motor is burned out. 4. It has a typical problem of the three lights showing (always has since I bought it back in 2005, with 77,000 miles on it), these lights (common problem) are the Traction Control, Hill Descent Control, and the Anti-lock Brakes. This has never caused a problem.5. The High / Low selector is stuck in high. Never a problem, as I haven't taken this off road in years. It is a pretty simple fix by a mechanic who knows what he / she is doing. 6. Hail Damage - This is only cosmetic, It isn't horrible (see photos), but is noticeable upon close inspection. 7. Because of the misfires in cylinders 4 and 7, it runs a little rough at idle and acceleration from idle, but fine after that. Runs fine on freeway.8. Because it didn't pass emissions, it is in my driveway, and is not registered. 9. Sold As-Is, no warranty.10. No back seats - I took out and threw away, as I used this to travel around in and slept in the back11. Cruise control doesn't work12. Very slow leak of coolant13. Burns about a quart of oil every 1,200 to 1,500 milesTHE GOOD:1. Runs well. It always starts first time - warms up and runs great.2. Spark plugs and water pump replaced last September, just 3,000 miles ago.4. New battery purchased 06/02/2015 (I have the paperwork)5. Brand new tires purchased 10/04/2013, with 222,538 miles on the odometer (I have the paperwork), and has a brand new spare tire.6. Brakes on all four wheels replaced 09/09/2013 at 222,445 miles (I have paperwork)7. Power windows and power door locks all work, as do the power seats8. Radio and CD changer (6 disk changer) all work9. FULL TANK OF GAS!!!
