This car was literally a barn find along with several other older cars. It was the only Mopar so I had to save it. My original plan was to possibly part it out or use it as a donor car for another project I was working on, but after cleaning up the Dart, I was amazed how nice and original this car is. It looks like the car has never been messed with or tampered with. None of the wiring harness has been butchered, does not appear to ever been wrecked, the paint appears to be at least 98% original and could easily be buffed out ( 2 small spots on the roof look to have been blended ). The jack and hardware are still in the trunk. I had to replace the rear tires on the car and while I had it up on the jack stands I saw the frame rails and floor pan and trunk pan seem to be in very good shape. These are some conditions that I am aware of- The car was running when parked in 1997, however the motor did not want to turn by grabbing the fan blades and turning by hand. I put some lubricant in the cylinders, but have not tried to mess with it since then. If I were a betting man, I would gamble that there is nothing wrong with the motor based on (86,897 miles) and the slant 6 reputation alone. The brakes will need to be gone through, the fuel system will also need to be gone through and most likely need a new tank. As you can see in the photo's there is some rust starting, but would probably be an easy fix to address before it gets to bad or comes through (opinion). I was promised a title when I purchased the car, but have not received it yet however I will provide a bill of sale and I will pay for the lost title process to begin if the other title does not arrive ( contact me for details 540 846 3700 ) Serious bidders only!
