MOTOWN AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN IS PROUD TO OFFER... 1957 Chevy 210 2 door sedan "Barn Find" Whatever happended to all the COOL 57 Chevies? If your like me, your getting sick and tired of all these pro-boring, leather interior, ls swap, 20 inch wheels, $100,000. lame cookie cutter cars. If you parked this 57 next to one of those 57's at a cruise night THIS is the car that would have a crowd around it all night This is the type of 57 that made the 57 Chevywait for it.....LEGENDARYWhen I found this car it had been up on jack stands in a garage sitting for years (that is actual vintage dust on it LOL!) The last time it was on the road was 2003 the gentelman that had it could no longer work on it due to his age. It is an old 60's Hot Rod that he had done some upgrades to over the years. It had not been started in years he just let it sit while he worked on it. I pulled all the plugs and soaked the cylinders down (anytime an engine sits for years you should always soak the cylinders before attempting to turn with a breaker bar or start. So many guys try and spin a dry engine its the easiest way to crack a ring) I wired a new ignition switch by itself to get it started, the wiring in this car is 60 years old and brittle I did not want a flamed 57. The whole car needs to be rewired it should get a fresh wiring harness headlight to taillight. I then installed a new coil (old one was leaking) new distributor (old one was worn out) new plugs and wires, and new battery. I tried to drain the gas tank but chocolate syrup came out when I pulled the plug so it got removed and chucked. It will need a new gas tankI installed a one gallon tank in front of the radiator to get it running, hit the key and it fired right up like it was running yesterday. The motor sounds good, the lifters were a little ticky till they pumped up. When I looked under the valve cover it is imaculate, it has a cam and a gear drive in it not the super noisy one but you can still hear it. I pushed in the clutch and it drives foward and back and the brakes stop (it has been upgraded to discs on the front) I did not want to drive it anywear because the tires are about 30 years old totally dry rotted and shot. It will need four tires. The old guy did some work to it over the years he dynamated the floors and put a new rug in it. the backseat it removed and boxed out finished like a black widow 57. He also had a nice dual exhaust system put on the car with a crossover pipe and flowmasters. This is not the type of car you restore! this is the car you go thru the electrical and mechanicals install new tires and gas tank and drive it as is. A patina rat rod gasser that drips of COOL! It is a 210 model that someone added the long fin trim and the bel air 1/4 inserts to. The floors look good from underneath (did the best I can with photos the car is low) It looks like some areas were patched but overall it is still solid enough you can leave it as is. The trunk floor is solid but it looks like the trunk floor front edge has been changed. The car has tinted red glass it is not plastic or lexan. It also has had a silver metalflake wheel and a stars and stripes tach, original 57 bench in vintage diamond pleat vinyl. The headliner looks original, also has a original 57 radio delete and clock delete. This is not a Barret jackson showcar so don't expect one for this price! This is a 57 chevy that you will need to go thru the electrical and mechanicals and will be a cool driver when done. Don't SNOOZE on this one it will sell quick! I have a clear NC title in my name it is my own personal car I am not a dealer. The only reason I am selling it is I need the space not the cash, no goofy offers, no trades and no dreams of letting the auction run out and low balling me afterwards. It's priced to sell, If it does not sell it won't upset me one bit. I have a video below of it idling for your enjoyment (turn up your speakers first)If you need a quote on door to door shipping contact Pete ate PJS transport (516)351-2787be sure to ask any questions before bidding and be sure to read and agree to the terms and conditions below BE SURE TO READ AND AGREE TO MY TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW1.CAR IS SOLD AS- IS WITH NO WARRANTY WHAT SO EVER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED2.$500 DEPOSIT IS DUE BY PAY PAL 3.BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END BY BANK TO BANK WIRE TRANSFER OR CASH IN PERSON. car must be picked up within 2 weeks of auctions endINTERNATIONAL BIDDERS WELCOMENO CHECKS OF ANY KIND WILL BE ACCEPTED OR HELD TILL CLEARBE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR EBAY STOREFOR MORE GREAT Automotive ITEMS!Thanks for l@@king!
