This is a car I was intending to restore, but cannot finish due to health issues. This is a European version of which just over 700 cars were built in 1976 (the Euro versions are very fast cars). The car has a good motor and I had it running after the fuel distributor was rebuilt, a new fuel pump, and a NOS gas tank installed, but I could only run it for a few minutes because it has a restriction in the exhaust system. The car sat in a field for several years and there are animal nests in the muffler. I couldn't get it all out and the exhaust system will most likely need replacing even though it looks good on the outside. The outer body is solid with some surface rust, but the rockers are rusted through badly as well as the lower portions of the wheel wells, but the floor pan is solid. The hood and trunk lid are aluminum. This would be a great parts car, or a major restoration project. The good things: Good motor, which ran well when the car was parked nine years ago, and ran good a few months ago, the car has never been wrecked, rare Webasto heater option, over $2,000 in new parts recently installed; including, a new battery, five new Febi suspension canisters, rebuilt fuel distributor, fuel pump and filter, front and rear window seals not installed. In addition to the spare, I also have three extra alloy wheels, one of which is in NOS condition. I do have all the chrome (In good condition) and the car is 100% complete, with lots of extra parts such as lenses, grill, seats, etc. I also have a collection of 1970 280se parts I will throw in with this car if the winning bidder would like them, including wood, 3 good bumpers (two front and one rear), lenses, fog lights, grill, etc. I will fill the car with parts to go with the car, or they can be shipped or picked up separately. The car cannot be run due to the plugged muffler, so it would need to be pulled onto a trailer. I will allow up to 30 days to have the car removed before charging storage. Mileage is 220,000 KM, which is a little over 130,000 miles. Clear and clean title. I will send more pictures of extra parts and car upon request.
