It was used in a van pool service for company transportation, and been under maintenance as such since new. We are first a commercial van and truck dealer, but also build 4 wheel drive conversion vans and have done quite a few if you've been following. This particular van is a nice example of a passenger setup, with van pool bucket seating, and full XLT accouterments, power everything, tinted windows, front/rear air, and chrome fittings. The van is a clean no road salt build that we received in original shape, it now has an extensive and detailed coil spring 4 wheel setup. The van is well suited to be a platform for your camper or RV type build, or to be used as a conventional people mover. This is an extended model with the 5.4 2 valve motor, and 3.73 gearing, built for both over the road traveling and overbuilt for off-road usage. Our 4 wheel conversion employs a custom 4 link front end with in this case, a reconditioned 2009 Superduty axle from a 1 ton truck. We utilize all new grade 10 hardware and new bushings. It has all new tie rods, new coil springs front, new ball joints, new sway bar, sway bar links, new shocks at all 4 corners, new custom drive shafts, new track bar and joints, and this one has a reconditioned NP271 manual transfer case again from a 1 ton truck. It's been freshly aligned by a heavy truck shop including cam bushings. The transmission is a rebuilt 4rR75 with new low stall torque converter which vastly improves off line performance of the 4.6 motor. The van has new 33" KO2 tires, aluminum offset wheels. There is very little mechanically besides the engine that has not been gone through on the van, and it came in running/driving perfect with zero leaks or issues when we bought it. At asking price, our vans come with a 6 month 6,000 mile warranty on all 4 wheel components modified including the transmission. Parts nation wide, and labor locally as well. Our conversion is constructed with mostly conventional parts serviceable at any truck shop or Ford dealer, most everything is widely available and straightforward to work on. We will provide a build and part sheet for you on the truck on delivery. exterior This van is both clean and straight. It has never seen road salt, so there is no rust to speak of, undercarriage photos shown. The paint is in very good condition and appears original. There is 1 accident on the Carfax report, causing a ding in right front fender and right middle door. We replaced both of these items with factory painted original parts from donor vans, rather than repainting them simply because they were available. They both look fine. The van has really nice wheels and new tires, glass is all good, bumpers are straight, everything opens and shuts and seals well. The paint is still pretty glossy. Blemishes include a few small nicks in right rear door, couple small ones in drivers door and touched up scratch behind drivers door. The van has light road wear and load wear on rear bumper, it's really a very clean van for 100k and photos should show it well, not a 10 point garage queen, but it's quite imposing and driving it down the road seems to cause people of all ages to turn their heads and smile. This van has factory side steps and they've been trimmed to clear front wheels, van is easy to get in and out of for its' size. Little kiddos will still likely need a boost though. interior The interior has been gone through and cleaned up nicely. It hasn't been smoked in, smells pleasant. Apart from a little light traffic wear about seating, carpet, etc, it's all just super tidy. This van wasn't used for hauling a bunch of kids around, just a van pool vehicle. All the electronic bits work inside, no warning lights on the dash, it has all new tire pressure sensors so you shouldn't have to worry about those. Van feels like a normal people mover inside.mechanic We drive all our conversions and have put about 200 miles on it since conversion. It's easy to drive for a big truck, gets around fine and because it's a coil spring conversion the turning radius is totally manageable. The extended Econolines turn on the same radius as the conventional lengths, no difference in wheelbase, just the body. These are modified vehicles and sit high for the wheelbase so it'll never drive like a caddy, but we regularly have people tell us they drive nice. This unit has effectively a completely new front end, so everything is tight and nice. It's been aligned and drives very straight, shifts easy, 4x4 works like a charm, and there's on odd noises or vibrations. It maintains factory emissions setup and will pass CA smog, also has functional factory RSC. There isn't much that hasn't been replaced or gone through on this rig. Fluids in diffs, t-case, trans, and brake fluid are all new.We are very comfortable with our conversion setup. We've built leaf spring vans, and sold a ton of the main manufacturer of 4x4 vans and taken into account a lot of the shortcomings with these setups when designing ours.
