Vehicle Detail
1963 Falcon Sprint: Distinctive color combination of Corinthian White and Red Crush Vinyl interior. It has the original 260 V8, Built on April 27, 1963 in San Jose CA and delivered to Los Angeles. The original owner was from Sunnymead, California who kept it until 1986 when it went to Texas. It was originally a 2 speed automatic, and now has a 3 speed rebuilt and recently serviced Automatic. The interior is gorgeous and looks like new. The red headliner is mint as are the seats, package tray, dash, and trim. The chrome is excellent as is the glass. The duel exhaust is brand new with 2.25" pipe and Magnaflow mufflers. The BF Goodrich tires with rear 225x70x14's and Magnum 500's give it an excellent aggressive stance. Much has been recently done to the car during the time I've owned it: tune-up, wires, new front bumper, fuel pump, oil pressure switch, new balanced drive shaft, oil and filter, front Monroe shocks, ignition switch, and more. The heat works well. The tachometer is original and working, but doesn't appear accurate. The undercarriage is solid and you can tell it is a California car. It's hard to believe it was built in 1963. The car performs as it should, and is faster than any 260-2 BBL that I've ever owned. No hesitation, and it is very quick! The power steering is responsive and effortless. There is no squeaking or excess road noise. Highway driving is smooth and really fun. The radio doesn't work, but I have a replacement rebuilt to go in it. Everything lines up nicely. You can be proud of the way it looks, and it gets a ton of compliments at cruise-ins. Car is sold where-is as-is with no warrantee expressed or implied. I reserve the right to end the auction provided the reserve hasn't been met. I encourage you to come see it for yourself or send an appraiser or mechanic prior to bidding. I doubt you'll be disappointed. (I have a 4 speed set up with a competition Hurst shifter complete with clutch, pedals, cross member, pressure plate etc. -- which can be sold separately but is NOT included in the auction.) If you want to learn a lot about Sprints, Jay Leno owns one and has a very good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYhTQx-NxAUOn Feb-06-17 at 17:40:58 PST, seller added the following information: There is a clear Virginia title in my name. Should you want a picture of the fender VIN and Door data tag, as some have asked, let me know and I will send.
