1996 Chevy Suburban K1500 I’m selling this 1996 Chevy Suburban K1500! I purchased it intending to resolve some mechanical issues and keep it for a daily driver. However, since getting the Suburban back together, I found another one and I have to sell this one. I intended to use this vehicle for family trail outings and camping so I wanted to ensure the vehicle was in excellent operating condition. This is a 1996 with a lot of miles (315,716), but the running gear is in really decent shape and the interior is very good. (The vehicle could use another good cleaning, but I need to get it up for sale!) The original 5.7 Vortec engine was in bad condition and a 1997 Chevy truck with a recently replaced engine became available with approximately 24,000 miles on it and the suburban now has that engine! The transmission pan was pulled and it is extremely clean. It was put back together with a new filter and new fluid. These are Hankook tires with excellent tread remaining. The brakes are also in very good condition. (Based on what the previous owner’s stated, the tires were put on the vehicle right before I bought it.) Since buying the vehicle the following items have been repaired or replaced: Engine from the low mileage 5.7 Vortec truck was installed Fuel pump Transmission serviced with new filter and fluid Battery replaced Interior door handles and bezels (two door handles were replaced and one door handle bezel) Front door pins (both driver and passenger doors) Electric window switch (passenger, rear door) Rear wiper control and delay switch was replaced Tailgate cables (drop gate cables were replaced) Wiper blades (front and rear) Wheel speed sensor – to correct issue with the ABS system Some other services performed – oil and filter, fuel filter, fluid change in differentials, fluid change for the transfer case, brake fluid service, brake pads were checked, rotors checked As you can see from the pictures, this vehicle is in very good condition with 3-row seating and front and rear air conditioning. All lights (headlights, parking, turn, and backup) now work. The interior lights, window switches, HVAC system, and fans and controls also work. The Suburban does have some dings in it, it isn’t beat up like so many of them are. As can be seen in the pictures, there are some dings in the body and the paint is not perfect. There are a number of minor hail dents, but overall the body is in decent condition. Starting with what I think this Suburban should be worth, I’ve reduced the price due to the minor dings and scratches and I’ve further reduced the price to cover the cost of a good cleaning and detailing. The vehicle is sold “as is”, “where is” and there is no warranty, expressed or implied. Delivery is at the buyer’s expense! Depending on your location, I can deliver the vehicle for a small fee if you’re within a reasonable distance.
