I am listing this Candy Apple Red 67 Mustang Fastback with the Deluxe Trim Interior for my brother. He has owned it since 1977. It's a C code 289 Automatic car. He rebuilt the original motor in 1979 with the addition of a Performance Cam, 4bbl intake and carb, Autolite Dual Point distributor and Cast Iron Hi-Po Headers. After driving it for a couple more years he started a restoration. The lower quarter panels, lower front fenders and trunk area had new panels installed. Also, better doors and an NOS deck lid are included. The body still needs some minor rust repair in the torque boxes, front of the frame rails behind the bumper brackets and the right front floor board (see the under carriage photos). This was a straight car that has never been wrecked. Some NOS parts are included in the sale: F and R Bumpers and Door Handles, that were installed for the first couple years and are still in very good cond., Grille, Grille Mouldings, Hood and Deck Lid Mouldings, Fender Emblems, Antenna, Remote Mirror, Kick Panels, Steering Wheel and some Weather Stripping. Also, new Stainless Inserts for the dash and door panels. The car got parked in dry storage in the early 1980's when he got married and raised a family. When he got it out of storage last year, all he had to do to start it was install a new fuel pump and it fired right up! The motor runs and sounds great! (It has side exit exhaust with glass packs) The trans had a shift kit installed in 1979 and seems to work OK but needs new front and rear seals.
